ALMA Cycle 13 Users Workshop 2026 Summary
The ALMA Cycle 13 Users Workshop was organized by the ALMA Regional Center (Taiwan-ARC) of ASIAA and the Taiwan Astronomical Research Alliance (TARA). As the world’s leading interferometer, ALMA receives more than 1,500 proposals each year, making the competition intense, especially for new users. The workshop was designed to help prepare ALMA Cycle 13 proposals and targeted graduate students, postdocs, faculty members, and anyone interested in using ALMA in Taiwan. This year, the workshop was held at Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics, Academia Sinica (ASIAA) on March 27th. A “Live panel review” session is included with 4 ALMA experts (You-Hua Chu, Sheng-Yuan Liu, Yen-Ting Lin, Hsi-Wei Yen) demo how a reviewer will review a proposal based on real proposals from participants. In total, over 29 participants attended the workshop, including online attendees.
