The 2026 Annual Meeting of the Astronomical Society of Taiwan was successfully held from May 15 to 17 at the Hakka College, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University.

As in previous years, TARA hosted an exhibition booth during the meeting to introduce the alliance, its organizational structure, and ongoing programs to the astronomy community. In addition, three TARA scientists presented poster contributions highlighting the current status and future plans of major astronomical projects in Taiwan, including ALMA data-model training, adaptive optics development, and the progress of the 2-meter telescope project.

Compared with the annual physics meeting, most participants at the astronomy meeting were already familiar with TARA. Therefore, the primary objective of the booth was to strengthen connections within the existing community and engage with other astronomy-related exhibitors, including astronomical instrumentation companies and the Taiwan Space Agency. Throughout the meeting, we also facilitated exchanges among students, faculty members, and researchers on topics related to astronomical research, education, and observing experience, providing opportunities for participants from different generations and backgrounds to connect and interact.

To further increase visibility and outreach, TARA prepared commemorative promotional items and leveraged social media platforms to enhance public awareness of the alliance, particularly among younger members of the astronomy community.

The meeting also featured the presentation of the Heaven Talk Award, recognizing the contributions of the Astronomy Terminology Review Committee of the National Academy for Educational Research. Members of the 9th Review Committee included Wen-Ping Chen, Fan-Lin Tao, Yi Chou, Mei-Yin Chou, Lin-Wen Chen, Pei-Ching Chan, You-Hua Chu, and Chia-Ling Hu, among others.

2026 台灣天文年會於 5 月 15 日至 17 日在國立陽明交通大學客家學院（竹北六家校區）順利舉行。

會議期間，TARA 與往年一樣設置展示攤位，向天文學界介紹聯盟組織架構及各項推動計畫。此外，三位 TARA 科學家分別以海報形式報告台灣大型天文計畫的最新進展與未來規劃，內容涵蓋 ALMA 資料模型訓練、調適光學技術開發，以及兩米望遠鏡建置計畫等主題。

相較於物理年會，天文年會的參與者大多已熟悉 TARA，因此本次攤位展示的重點在於深化既有社群之間的連結，並與其他天文相關攤位、天文儀器公司以及台灣太空中心等單位進行交流。會議期間，我們亦積極促成學生、教授及研究人員之間關於天文研究、教育推廣與觀測經驗的分享與討論，讓來自不同世代與背景的參與者得以相互認識並建立合作契機。

此外，TARA 亦製作紀念品作為宣傳品，以提升聯盟能見度，增進年輕世代對 TARA 的認識，並透過社群媒體擴大活動宣傳與曝光。

本屆年會亦舉辦譚天獎頒贈儀式，以表彰國家教育研究院天文名詞審議小組對天文教育與專業名詞推廣的長期貢獻。第九屆審議委員包括陳文屏、陶蕃麟、周翊、周美吟、陳林文、詹佩菁、朱有花及胡佳伶等成員。
